Petra Guiland, LMT, AMTA, NCBTMB
Along with her peers Petra graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2005, followed by four years of volunteer work in Chile. There she learned through cultural exchange of the Chilean people the power of the Pachamama , whose name many Andean (Mapuche and Aymara) Indians refer to as Earth mother. Through this experiential learning she came to understand the importance of grounding ones spirit in order to improve daily life for ourselves, communities and beyond.
Petra has integrated her Swedish and Deep Tissue training, the experiential learning of Chile and Reiki energy work to provide clients with calm, nurturing sessions that focus on stressed muscles, blocked energy, and recharging &reconnecting the client to their spirit. She is fluent in Spanish.
“Nurturing our spirit is as important as circulating blood and oxygen through hypotonic muscles. Cultivating a moment for the client to be grounded gives them an opportunity to reconnect to their spirit. A lost necessity, especially in a time when being connected is associated with technology.”
