joel

Joel attended PMTI (Potomac Massage Training Institute), the most comprehensive Massage Therapy program in the region. During his training he worked in the public clinic, designed and led a chair massage project for the American Heart Association, and worked on a case study project dealing with low-back pain.

Joel focuses on Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, and is currently learning and incorporating work from other modalities like Trigger Point and Myofascial Release. He has worked several competitive races offering massages to runners. Together with the client, he does a full evaluation of both occupation and lifestyle along with the goals in seeking massage therapy, to tailor an experience that is right for each individual. Be it pure relaxation, improved body dynamics, or focused work to alleviate a condition.

Joel is focused and present, his way in is gentle yet he goes deeper with more intention than most I've worked with.
