What are the benefits of massage?
There are many physical, mental and emotional benefits of massage such as: deep relaxation, releases muscle tension, soreness and stiffness, deeper, easier breathing, lowers blood pressure, improves joint flexibility and range of motion, reduces muscle spasms, improves blood and lymph circulation, reduces scar tissue development, gives relief to eyestrain and headaches, strengthens the immune system, reduces stress, improves access to creative thinking process, gives a sense of well being, reduces anxiety, gives an opportunity to experience a sense of wholeness, unity and a mind-body-spirit connection.
If I drive, where do I park and how much will it cost?
There is two hour street parking around the circle. There are many parking lots in the area that range from $8 - $30. If you come on Saturday and Sunday, most lots are in the $8-$16 range (all day). In addition, if you can find a spot, Sunday street parking is free in most places.
What is the nearest Metro stop?
DuPont Metro, Red line. From either metro exit, we are one block away. We are located on the corner of 20th and P streets, in the Toronto building.

Why do I need to fill out an intake form?
While you are under the care of Well Being, we want to ask you some basic health questions to serve you and your body best.
Are there certain contraindications that can restrict me from getting a massage?
Yes. Medical contraindications include but are not limited to: uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, fractures, herniated discs, malignancy, numbness or tingling in any part of the body especially the hands and feet. Please inform your Well Being massage therapist of any acute or ongoing health conditions before your massage/spa treatment. At Well Being, we take appointments for pregnant women in their 2nd and 3rd trimester only.
Should I take off all of my clothes for a massage?
Your Well Being Therapist will explain what each massage/treatment involves and how to lie on the table, and will leave you to change in privacy. You can undress to your comfort level. You will be covered with a sheet and discretely drape during the session, with only the area being worked exposed.
What should I do during my massage?
Take some deep breaths, relax and let go of your worries. Feel free to talk with us about your massage or treatment, if desired. In addition, please let us know how we can accommodate you best with regards to pressure and room temperature. We want your Well Being experience to be positive.
How can I enhance my massage?
Try not to eat anything heavy a few hours before your massage/treatment. Drink water before and after your massage/treatment to help hydrate and flush the body of toxins. Feel free to ask your massage therapist for other recommendations.
