A note from Cynthia Shobutte, the director of Well Being Massage & Spa
I am very pleased to announce that Well Being Massage & Spa is going to be partnering up with Touch of Relief (TOR) www.touchofrelief.org, a wonderful non-profit organization.
TOR was conceived after three years of working in community outreach for Potomac Massage Training Institute, almost two years of providing support to injured veterans and their caregivers, and during the third emergency response deployment to the gulf. Jaime Bernardo and Mary Contreras wanted to find a way to expand services they were providing military families, disaster victims and relief workers, so they set out to establish partnerships and develop grassroots programs with like minded organizations and healthcare practitioners.
Well Being Massage and Spa's mission is to have a bigger community service impact by focusing our efforts with one non-profit organization that is directly linked to healing those in need with massage therapy. We will have fantastic opportunities for the Well Being community of clients and also staff of massage therapists to support TOR. Some of the massage therapists working at Well Being (Cristina Brydges, Mary Contrares and I) have already been participating.
Stayed tuned for upcoming events hosted by Well Being Massage & Spa and visit Touch of Relief today for more information on how you can donate or volunteer your time/services. www.touchofrelief.org
